laugh at my expense…

the one and only vero pepperrell kindly pointed me to an interview that the guys from freshbooks did with me at fowa miami earlier this year. i’m actually speaking in this video and it might give you an indicator as to why my weekly videos are done in mute!

oh you should probably know before you watch that i’m incredibly drunk, although you probably would have sussed that for yourself.

now yes, i can hear your chuckling. i know i was terribly drunk. i know that i could hardly stand and yes, yes, i know that texas is not north america… it was humour in my drunken state.

i hope that it made you chuckle, even if it was at my expense… taxi!

    It’s weird to hear your voice after the random videos have been soundtracked. :) If it’s any consolation I was much drunker at the FOWA London party last year. People couldn’t believe my surname contained ‘Guinness’. Fun times. Anyhow you’ve got a great accent I wouldn’t be afraid of doing non-muted random videos in future.

  2. Justin Thorp says:

    Saul Colt is my hero. Funny video. :-)

  3. Gody says:

    Ditto, Anthony. It “IS” weird to hear your voice, Mel. I thought you could not speak at all ;) Just kidding. It is good to know that you can indeed speak and with the accent but for some reason I imagined it to be thicker :)

  4. woweewa says:

    Gary Vaynerchuk, I thought it was a bit of a slurrr but he exists lol. Chopsockychooks is Rockarama, 4974, those laser bots, darn them.

  5. Andrew Woods says:

    “I’m roses”. That was funny. you were charming and having a good time. It is good to finally hear your voice. The curiosity was killing me. For the record, i like your voice – no need to hide it. :)

  6. Mel Kirk says:

    @Anthony… thanks, i’ll take that as consolation :)

    @Justin Thorp – you’re right, Saul rocks!

    @Gody – in what way thicker? please tell me you didn’t expect me to sound like a south-western farmer? lol

    @woweewa – of course Gary exists… he’s the legend of all wines! ;)

    @Andrew Woods – thanks Andrew, you’re lovely!

  7. Andrew P says:

    Nice slur going on there, especially in the latter half… I wonder if I should hide the booze on saturday ;)

    BTW, playing Andrew Buckaroo is strictly forbidden.

  8. Clint says:

    Love the accent!!

  9. Jorge says:

    I was in a British School so I’m used to that accent a lot. And i like it! British accent is the best. You should speak more, maybe I’ll interview you some time.

    Gary Vaynerchuk Rules!!!!

  10. Dan says:

    Actually, North America is the continent containing Canada and the United States so you were actually okay. Texas is indeed in North America…only just though. ;)
