Joanne Hynes: My New Found Love
I had the pleasure of being invited to be invited by Snow PR to their press day last week, featuring the best of high fashion and high street.
There were lots of beautiful pieces for SS13 along with some high summer statement pieces which were gorgeous. The standout collection for me though, wasn’t the clothes, it was the statement accessories from Joanne Hynes.
If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that I’ve been tweeting about Joanne for a couple of weeks now having discovered one of her pieces being worn at the Smirnoff event that I attended. Now that I’ve discovered her masterpiece, you can’t help but notice if somebody is wearing one of her items. They’re real statement pieces that look awesome clashing against patterns or simply providing a pop of colour and wow to a plain outfit.
The below features the lollipop which is inspired by childhood memories and nostalgia and is my FAVOURITE piece.
With winter upon us, you’ve probably heard that Ilse Jacobsen is going to be the hottest property around this Christmas, with the wellies taking centre stage from the Hunter masses.
Sadly this photo does it no justice but I was pleasantly surprised by the dresses on over from Forever Unique. Having recently been tarnished with the TOWIE brush, I was amazed to find this full length gown as part of their collection. Looks like the Essex crew are going to have to find a different brand to plague.
I’m excited for SS13, from the pieces that I saw, it’s going to be an awesome season, with lots of bold patterns, neon accents and brave uses of new materials. Other designers included Maya’s Closet and my favourite brand of all time PPQ. The stuff dreams are made of. Heart, heart heart (would have taken pics but my favourite pieces were being played with by a pesky journo).
Thanks to Snow PR for being so lovely and for letting us play dress up. Every blogger loves that, right?
Much Wednesday love,
