Exclusive Premiere of The Theory of Everything

Last week, I had the pleasure of being invited to the premiere of a short film which had been commissioned entitled The Theory of Everything at The Hospital Club, London.

For those of you that have followed me for a while now, you’ll know that I used to work in dating and ironically have a history of being AWFUL at dates. So this was right up my street!

The film was written and produced by Stephen Follows of Catsnake who explained that they enlisted some of the world’s leading dark-matter physicists from Imperial College and CERN to assist with the story. This was to be no cheesy chick flick.

I don’t want to ruin the story for you, so instead, I suggest you grab a cuppa, sit back and relax and enjoy this little jewel of a film.

Make sure to watch the film to the end to win the chance for 2 people to see the Northern Lights or check out the Facebook Page for more details. Thanks to my lovely friends over at http://www.lovestruck.com for the invitation to what was a lovely evening.

I hope that you love the film as much as I do. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Big love,

M xo

Take me, I’m yours!

At Engine, there is an incentive for staff called Engine Experiences. If your application is accepted, you are granted a week to take off of work and £5,000 towards making your dream experience come true. Pretty good deal huh?

My lovely pal, Luke Norton was lucky (and clever enough!) to have his application accepted. Luke wanted to host an exhibition of modern romantic comedy, created by himself. The exhibit opened on Monday evening and went down a storm!

The show tells the story of a relationship expressed in words and collected into phases. Before, during and after become desire, love and heartache.

“Desire is the nature of vision. Here it is presented in silver leaf on acid etched glass. Think of it as a spun sugar peacock. It represents the premise of you and me and what we could be.

Love is the thrill of possibility. Here it is presented in enamel paint on chamfered board. Think of it as the rainbow layer in your box of chocolates. It represents the way I act when I don’t know how you’ll respond.

Heartache is the anguish of chaos and clarity. Here it is presented in black & white on vandal-proof sheetmetal. Think of it like cold stone in a round lake, it represents the fact that you look at her the same way you used to look at me.”

The exhibition is taking place at the Newman Street Gallery, 18 Newman Street, W1T 1PE and remains open until 3rd December. Definitely one to add to the to-do list!

Enjoy! M xo

Tips To Understand Women

We aren’t complex creatures, really we aren’t. We eat, sleep and drink the same as men. It appears it’s just our minds that are wired differently.

This week’s video includes tips to help you better understand women. You’re welcome.

Funny Excuses to Decline Dates

Whilst I’d love to tell you that girls can’t wait to be asked out and willingly oblige, the truth is, this isn’t the case. There are times, believe it or not, where we actually don’t want to. You might have 3 heads. You could have terrible B.O, or just spinach between your teeth. All this and yet somehow we always find ourselves saying yes, when what we actually mean is no.

Fear not girls, I’ve compiled a list of believable excuses that will get you out of this very situation. They took quite a while to think of. I’m here to look after you.

Time to get a partner?

Ever wondered whether you’ve been single for too long? You’re not alone, fear not. When asked by a friend whether they’d been single for too long when at a wedding last week, it got me to thinking.

I shared my thoughts in this week’s video.

does my bum look big in this?

given the success of the recent tips and advice that i’ve given, i’ve appointed myself as the randommel agony aunt again for this week… focussing on what she says vs what she actually means.

not many men have insider information like this, so be careful how you use this power. remember, if you do slip up and give the wrong answer, a new macbook pro can always raise a smile on a girl’s face!
